It's very interesting and highly relevant to TLDP - if only for the possibility
to link to such documents from the HOWTOs

I'd rather see something like the GPL to prevent wine-like commercial forks.

There was some interest on wiki technology recently. Maybe the wiki gurus would
be willing to experiment the system with whatis documents?

Only 1 license should be allowed. With the GPL you don't have to bother about
missing maintainers - you just fork.

With a clic thru agreement to license the document under the GPL.

It'd be very interested in watching 1) how wikis scale, and how they can be
modified to support whatis 2) how such small references could be used within
howtos 3) how people would use this "linux encyclopedia"

A whatis project seems perfectly consistant with TLDP goals. What about finding
volunteers to create a team?

Best regards,
Guylhem
