I have been watching the list since my original post on this point.

What I see is that some people think the document is fine the way it is.
Whereas,
others can find numerous points to critique.

For the sake of argument let's pretend that the topic of the document is
about
some particular piece of hardware or software that is of interest to
Linux users.
Initially the document is submitted for review. So it makes it through
and is
included within the LDP collection. Then after some time a user or users
complain about the content of said document. To which people open a
discussion
about whether a review is indeed necessary. If enough contention exists with
respect to the content of the document then a proper review can be
carried out.

Now, in the context given, any dispute over the document could be
resolved by
the introduction of new information which shows the contained errors or the
apparrent flaws pointed out by the complaints would be layed to rest by the
more knowledgeable list users within a few posts. Neither of these has
occurred.

What has happened is numerous posts that are more of an emotional nature
rather than clear and fair reasoning. I am sure that you all can agree that
these sentiments do nothing to put this issue to rest. Therefore, there is
obviously enough criticism and points of contention with respect to this
document to warrant a proper review.

To this end I have volunteered on the editors list (mailto:
####@####.#### to
review this document. If at all possible I do not want to do this by
myself. The
review of this document must be transparent so that there will be no
question
of fairness to contest at the end of the process. So I motion that
others join me
in this review. I suggest a even number of male/female reviewers that
can work
amongst themselves and submit the results as a group to the LDP.

Anyone interested in participating with me can contact me directly.
Let us all please stop posting to this list until we have a main point
to discuss.

In a way you all have been participating in a little survey of mine. The
results of
which, your email responses, clearly have indicated the necessity of a
review.

Thank you for all efforts and hopefully with fair participation from all
that will be
involved this document can serve the Linux community better.

Again. Please stop posting about this point on the list now.

Communicate with me directly if you are interested in helping this along and
we will coordinate from there.
