That is exactly what we want to do. But Those men, complaining that there are not may women, are forced to help making this possible.
Does anybody out here think: Things can be changed only by woman? This would lead to the consequence, that women have to be conform. They will have to laugh at all, if men make jokes against female, they even have to fetch coffee for those thinking they are a servant?
If not, a men obviously have to do something, too. More than complaining: There aren't enough women in Linux community.
I am seriously tired of "you women must".
I am working with mostly male colleagues since nearly 30 years as a technician. And you may believe or not. It is a really hard stand for some women (sometimes for me at all). I never gave up, but others did, some nearly broken. And I can feel with them. Moving the HOWTO out of the way is like trying to move the women as the original problem out of the way.
I really want a time when the HOWTO will be a historical document. But for now. it is needed. And it is a small, very small sign.
