You're absolutely right. And I'm a woman. I discussed this earlier with
a fair amount of people, and I even did a survey in our local Linux
community. I got a lot of dirt over me because I reacted and wrote my own
version, which is called Women in Linux HOWTO. It is was at
first as opinionated as the HOWTO Encourage Women in Linux HOWTO, I guess,
since it is a reaction. It's polished up a bit meanwhile, because the
first one cause a bit too much reaction from readers, but I've left it
unchanged since, at
http://tille.soti.org/cyberfeministe/HOWTO/

This was actually my first proposal to TLDP, but it was not a serious one,
I admit.

As I recall the discussions about this here and elsewhere, I'd rather see
that such HOWTO's don't join TLDP. I mean, what will we have next, a
Linux for Gays HOWTO, or a HOWTO Bi Linux? There's more important work to
do before we have time for such things.

Tille.
