What do you mean exactly? The phrase "Al Dev" now (unfortunately in my
opinion) has a number of connotations on this mailing list:
- possible plagiarism
- insufficient research
- a tendency to push a personal agenda in the HOWTO
- insufficient reviewing
It's probably worth making specific criticisms at least at the level of
my points above rather than adopting the term "Al Dev" as a generic LDP
term of abuse for HOWTOs. It's not very professional, and it isn't even
useful.
There has been considerable discussion of this HOWTO on this list
before, which has been more two-sided than the criticism of Al Dev's
HOWTOs: check http://lists.tldp.org/ (search the discuss list for the
term "women" to find much of it), which may or may not answer the
possible "insufficient reviewing" criticism.
People who have posted to this thread may or may not have time to review
it themselves: I suggest they consider doing it if they have time.
Waiting for "other reviewers" to do it sounds like the typical curse of
volunteer organisations: waiting for that mystical other person who has
the time.
