Way to selectively quote. He HAS been written, he didn't reply, and the
HOWTOs were subsequently removed.

There are only two issues here: 1) did the LDP behave responsibly in the
way the removed HOWTOs were dealt with and 2) what should be done about
the remaining HOWTOs.
I cover 1) above. For 2) I think we should provide enough evidence for
each HOWTO that it is not good enough for the LDP, and take it into the
same process that the PHP and C++ HOWTOs went over to (i.e. removal).
