and I did: zgrep Vasudevan * and got the following additional HOWTOs:
C++Programming-HOWTO.gz: Al Dev (Alavoor Vasudevan) alavoor[AT]yahoo.com
LILO-crash-rescue-HOWTO.gz: Al Dev (Alavoor Vasudevan)
I looked at the LILO one. It's much improved from his other (previous)
HOWTOs but still not acceptable in my opinion. It has a lot of good
references but one is wasting time by following some of his procedures.
