hi

docbook is indeed the recommended thing. a subset of
docbook is not a bad idea. i think kde uses a subset
of docbook too. obviously we dont need all the
elements that docbook offers. reducing the learning
curve associated with docbook for authors will lead to
more productivity. after all the whole point of
docbook is just that. if we worry abt docbook tags
instead of format we still lose potential time.

i should also remind you that you can submit the howto
in the current format and probably someone here will
do the conversion for you at first
