: OK, so what is proper use of the indexing terms? What is obvious
: is the structure "something!somethingelse" but just what is
: proper use of the words before and after the exclamation mark(s)?
I have no idea....perhaps somebody else can volunteer an explanation
here.
: Moreover, how can one generate an index in LinuxDoc (and DocBook)?
: I looked in the author guides but didn't find anything.
If you are using xsltproc, you can generate an index as follows:
<index id="bookindex"></index>
As long as you have <indexterm/>s in your document, you should see a
full-fledged index at the point in the document where you drop this
<index/> tag.
( Hmm....I could probably use <index id="bookindex"/>. I wonder why
I didn't. )
Good luck,
