I was thinking of only say the HOWTOs.  I recently downloaded the
Debian package for all of them (text format) and it took about 30
minutes on a 28.8k modem.  It's about 5 MB compressed (even though it
says 4 MB on our site for the tar-gzipped).  Now if one has a 56k
modem it's even less time.  If they only want a few HOWTOs from LDP
it's much shorter.
