|Eh, the only noticable difference to the author is that XML is a bit
|more strict (you can't use any of sgml's "shortcuts", which not
|being able to use them is a Good Thing IMO). I'd just do XML right
|from the start if I were you - it's easy to convert XML to SGML,
|because XML is a subset of it, but can be difficult the other way
|around because of those various "shortcuts".
I'll take your advice and check it out. That is what Hal prefers anyway.
I've only used TeX for document creation, and have used XML in Java
programming, but never thought of it as a document creation language.
On my RH9 box, most of the default publishing tools are oriented toward
sgml,
and I didn't want to get distracted by formatting syntax since it is the
content I want to get down.
