In Keyboard-and-Console-HOWTO it mentions the use of "setterm" to do this.
Perhaps info on ansi colors for the Linux terminal belongs there.
"Linux coloring" is a poor choice of title.  One might erroneously think
it meant coloring drawings, or the colors in a GUI.  Your HOWTO is about
colors of text on a PC when it's emulating a text (or dumb) terminal of
type Linux.  So what to call this?  "Text-console colors"?
