I do use a US spell checker but I don't think I've altered anything that
was correct British spelling. I use ispell and use an American
dictionary (by default). But I just tried it on "colour" and it accepts
it so it may work OK on British spelling too. But thanks for pointing
this out. Where the "error" is really just a difference in style, such
as lack of capitalization, I don't change it. So I try to change only
what looks like typos. Perhaps I shouldn't do this so I may not do it
anymore except for someone that I know well.
