Hi Harri,

I was looking through my messages and didn't read this before, but it
made me curious..

When I go to http://www.tldp.org/links/hw.html#peripherals there is a
link to the CD-Writer Compatibility List, but I'm not sure that was
supposed to just point to the CD-Writer HOWTO. Good thing you brought
it up though, because I couldn't get the link there to go anywhere. It
is a bad link.

The latest version of the CD-Writer HOWTO is at the LDP, and is the same
version as the one in the second link you mentioned above. It's at
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/CD-Writing-HOWTO.html , so that seems to be okay.

You're right. I noticed that the one at LDP was published Sept 2000 and
the one at the above link is Jan 2001, about 5 months difference. The
version went from 5.10 to 5.15. The author states in his document
history that the latest version has the GFDL, and that he has clarified
"what is and isn't Linux specific," nonetheless, it is a more recent
version!
