Thanks for delivering that as promised! Okay everyone (particularly
those involved in the review, and Al Dev too), please have a look! I
haven't yet, but I'm on my way.

I do agree with you there. Anything tutorial to C++ should be separate
from this HOWTO. And from your comment above, Pradeep, you've made
clear note of the fact that this is for newer users who are looking for
Linux related C++ resources. This is a much clearer purpose than the
way it stands now.
Also, depending on how the TOC works, we may want to consider altering
the title to reflect the niche this document fills, since C++ HOWTO just
doesn't say quite enough.
