Dear Reader, 

After posting the first version of this HOWTO, some things became clear to 
me, thanks to your comments.  
First of all, I want to apologize to all of you for posting on this list.  
Somebody pointed out that it was not the correct place, but this was not 
clear to me.
Second, also my apologies to all the people I offended.  While I'm at it, 
I might as well present you with the 1.1 version to make it up to you, 
this being the correct list or not.  You will see that your comments have 
been taken into account.
