Hello Luc, on LSM in Bordeaux, I met KDE French Translation
Cooordinator and I was on seminar on this topic.

The most important problem with treating documentation
in "po" way are:

- "look and feel" - sentences are broken in unexpected places,
thus - for me - completly unreadable,
- tools for converting files from and to docbook are rather
KDE special or at least uncommon, so you rather need
  KDE for translating.

cheers - Sergiusz
