Hi again, Gerardo,

I don't know if you're using a popular distribution of Linux, but in
many cases, the openjade tools can be found in the major ones.

If you want to try openjade, there's a great howto that explains how to
get everything set up:

http://www.jimweller.net/jim/dbxmlqs/index.html

If you have a major distro installed, you don't necessarily need to do
the step for installing openjade. Do a rpm -qa | grep openjade and see
if you have it installed before you proceed. If it's not, then take
that step first.

The howto, if followed to the letter, gets the tools running perfectly
every time. Once done, you can use openjade as follows:

openjade -t sgml -d /path/to/ldp.dsl#html /path/to/docbook.dcl
yourfile.sgml

This will create the html based on the LDP look.

I am not as familiar with the other tools, but I'm hoping other folks
will jump in to talk about alternatives to openjade, since it's not
necessarily the most efficient way to convert to html!

By the way, do you have the psgml plugin for Emacs? What this does is
load extra menus into Emacs when you load an sgml or xml file, so that
you can easily work with markup. If you're using the latest version of
XEmacs it might already be built in!

Keep emailing me if you need more info!

Thanks,
Tab
