I've had mixed responses to feedback. One HOWTO update may provide lots
of new idea's, others none.
How about a 'have you found this document useful' CGI script that allows
site visitors to quickly rate a document? Not totally scientific but
it's quick feedback
Also i'm curious to know how may hits my documents get on LDP, and I
presume others are. This is a big incentive to keep a document
maintained. I have access to an optical drive in work and although I
don't have time to play with it if i saw that the Optical-Disk HOWTO was
receiving lots of hits I could be persuaded to invest time into
contributing to it again.
Whilst starting with a document which meets a required level is the way
forward, providing reminders to authors of the worth of their
contribution to the Linux community will help in keeping their interest
levels high and keep the documentation fresh.
