I can't say this is true. a non documented device is completely useless 
except for the programmer himself, and probably for a very short time (after 
which even himself will not remember the use of his software).

I don't say this to flame the volunteers that are working on usb code, of 
course.

I want only say that may be you should ask more for help on documentation. 
Usb support is very important for linux, it's now a bottleneck.

LDP folks are ready to accept any HOWTO on the subject and there is probably 
much to do.

I have too many projects on hold to be able to take a new one, but I copy 
this letter to ldp discuss in hope somebody can help.
