Most of the meta information is derived from the <articleinfo>
element, part of the <article> container. I've tried to provide
a DocBook XML/SGML sample for you:
<article>
<articleinfo>
<!-- Use "HOWTO", "mini HOWTO", "FAQ" in title, if appropriate -->
<title>Linux Crash HOWTO</title>
<author>
<firstname>XXX</firstname>
<surname>XXX</surname>
<affiliation>
<!-- Valid email...spamblock if so desired -->
####@####.####
</affiliation>
</author>
<!-- All dates specified in ISO "YYYY-MM-DD" format -->
<pubdate>2002-04-15</pubdate>
<revhistory>
<!-- Most recent revision goes at the top; descending order -->
<revision>
<revnumber>1.0</revnumber>
<date>2002-04-15</date>
<authorinitials>XX</authorinitials>
<revremark>...</revremark>
</revision>
...
<revision>
<revnumber>0.5</revnumber>
<date>2002-01-01</date>
<authorinitials>XX</authorinitials>
<revremark>...</revremark>
</revision>
...
</revhistory>
<!-- Provide a valid synopsis of the document; 1 or 2 para -->
<abstract>
<para>...</para>
</abstract>
</articleinfo>
...article content...
- start w/introduction
- include license information (recommend gfdl v1.0) somewhere
- include feedback subsection, if so desired
Hope this helps. More style/etc info in the LDP Author Guide.
Email with questions.
regards,
