Thank you for your initiative, jdd. It sounds like you know what to
do. You definitely have *my* blessing.
The problem with using non-DocBook sources is that we rely (and will
rely much more in the future) on good meta-data, which falls in the
<articleinfo> section of the DocBook file. No word processor will
create that for us, I think.
Lampadas will be able to keep the meta-data and add it to the file
once it has been converted to DocBook from the original source. I will
integrate support for any formats authors want to write in. I will
just need a month or so of lead time to do the coding, if nobody else
steps forward. So please keep me (us) informed as to your progress,
and if things go well send me more detailed format information so I
can support it.
