We /prefer/ DocBook SGML/XML for all new docs. The older sgml-tools
for linuxdoc work just fine.

DocBook can be daunting due to the size of the DTD, number of tags,
but with this power comes much flexibility. There are also more
tools to chose from. It's more of an industry-standard DTD then
linuxdoc (hence, easier interchange).

Linuxdoc is missing a key component from it's DTD...table markup.
Linuxdoc is primarily used for legacy docs, and it works just fine.
Support will not be going away for Linuxdoc.
