David vastly overstated the "manual-ness" of the process.
It's ONE script that produces ALL outputs given a SGML/XML
instance (any valid DTD we accept), and then ONE script that
copies all formats to their proper place(s). It's really not
all that bad/ugly. He made it sound like a "chewing gum
and bailing twine" style hack.
(and you should have seen the process before I put this in place...)
If you want to do some work for the LDP, I have something I
can hand off to you right away...maintenance of all the links
pages (http://linuxdoc.org/links/). Any takers?
