I interpret as the tag for LISTITEM was not closed. A closing tag is
required, eg </listitem>.

That's line number of the open tag.

Not sure what this is. It looks like to me that maybe you are working
with a doc that was converted from linuxdoc to docbook. The conversion
is not perfect, and I always have seen these kinds of errors. You
might go look at the finished doc on linuxdoc.org, and see just what
that is supposed to look like in finished form. Then do what you have
to. That's what I've done in the past.

Notice that isn't close there either. Not sure if that was paste
