I'd like to take this opportunity to whole-heartedly endorse
the use of our CVS tree. :-)

This would be a novel approach for us (creating multiple HOWTOs
utilizing shared SGML/XML files) but the model is somewhat similar to
how authoring is done on the LDP Author Guide.

We have multiple contributors, each working on various SGML segments
(usually different files). When agreed upon, an email is fired off
to ####@####.#### (me) indicating: the (relative) path to
the doc in the CVS tree, name/title of it, and the fact that it
was indeed ready to be published.

Makes my job (publishing/updating) easier, in fact.
