Just a short notice that debian (woody at least) includes a pair
of diskless packages (server and "client" side) that let one debootstrap
the dir to be used as NFS root. It does not save the trouble of using
something to boot the diskless nodes, but it surely eases maintenance on
the server.

I'll look up the exact reference and package name if needed.
