i'm sorry. i typed that very badly. i simply meant that in the chucky
version i can see the note.gif's image while browsing the HTML. in other
words the <img> element points to the GIF correctly, in the chunky version.

well, maybe you'll spot something glaringly wrong in the output. since you
don't seem to get that jade error that i do get, maybe my setup is wrong. but, i
can create the HTMLs, so jade is functioning for me.
