I just did an initial checkin on some documents. I put them in their
own directory, LDP/howto/docbook/Linux-Complete-Backup-and-Recovery-HOWTO
1) I used "cvs add" to create everything, rather than "cvs import". I
hope that does not cause a problem.
2) I added an image, images/notes.gif. The CVS system asked for a
comment, so I gave it one. This doesn't appear to mangle the image.
3) I did a "cvs add" for each file, followed by a cvs commit. The
files show up on the web page at the appropriate URL, and I can run
"CVS log" on them.

However, the permissions have not
been changed on my computer, and I can't check them in or out. Do I
need to do anything further?
