1) know the subject area fairly deeply
2) write in good English, or have a friend who does and will help you
(we can help also if you just ask us)
3) be willing to accept questions, you probably won't get *too* many.
Each question means your doc is probably missing something or not well
organized
4) make a commitment to keeping it up to date with questions you are
asked
5) if you ever can't maintain it, don't just let it lie fallow. Let us
know to relist it as unmaintained.
6) learn DocBook if you possibly can, and maintain it in that format.
We will help.
That's pretty much it.
