It works fine for DocBook 3 and 3.1.  There aren't any packages provided
for DocBook for, nor for XML DocBook.

Red Hat 7 comes with packages to process DocBook, you really want to go
with the binaries if you can.  
For certain you'll need the openjade, docbook, and stylesheets rpms. 
You'll also need whatever else they require.  With those installed, you
should be able to run 'db2html document.sgml' and get HTML back.  Hal
posted a command that you can use to invoke jade by hand, which should
work just as well.  If you're using DocBook 4, your best bet is to
upgrade to the packages that are part of Red Hat 7.1 or rawhide.  Those
will have much better DocBook 4 support.
