don't wory, I know that. The only reason I disturb you is that I try to 
advocate LyX as LDP tool of choice for docbook, so I would like to fix the 
small problems.

may be, suse has always had problems with docbook

problem is why use sgmltools that are, I think, not done for docbook but for 
linuxdoc?

db2xx gives better results (of course, it's from suse, it works with a suse 
distro :-()

so is it possible to change lyxrc?

IT IS !

I did this in lyxrc

\convert docbook html "db2html $$i" "originaldir"

gives a perfect result.

as for the quotes problem, it's a konqueror problem, Netscape displays the 
result very nicely.
