You bet. You could write as a thought process versus a compatibility list.
For example,
First Step, Video Cards:
What is your budget? What features do you want? Linux has great 3D
capability if you get the right card. NVidia has great cards if you have
the budget. ATI is well supported, except for lack of Anti-Aliasing in
KDE. Here is a breakdown of quality cards via price range:
