It seems some mirrors (for example http://linux.oss.eznetsols.org/ldpwn/latest.html) do not follow symlinks. But we are using lot of them, to point to the latest or current copy of a doc just now only the Singapore mirror have the problem, but we probably didn't search all the mirrors for this problem I don't see local tldp solution, so we should ask mirrors to change config.
