Good idea, really.
It is interesting topic and it would be good if there is some  documentation
about it. You could start your writing from here http://wiki.tldp.org/.

We try to organize all the HOWTOs to start their live from the wiki. So, the
wiki is something like a blackboard where you could write the whole
article/tutorial/HOWTO even book if you wish.

I would suggest to keep a backup copy if you use the wiki. We suffer from
regular spam postings there.
