I have written a howto on a sampling review which would be a lot
faster than an ordinary review. See a future post I'll make

It's likely to just sit there and slowly become obsolete.

This may not work in all cases. The author need to designate sections
and subsections etc. and a plain text submission may not make this
clear. Since linuxdoc is accepted by LDP and not much harder to learn
than wiki markup, I think it reasonable for authors to at least learn
it or possibly use LDP's Howto Generator which outputs linuxdoc.

For formats other than LinuxDoc or DocBook, LDP will try to find
someone to convert, but the author needs to be made aware of the
reason for the delay in publishing and perhaps help find someone to do
the conversion. Possibly, as a last resort, the author could learn
linuxdoc or use a wiki markup which converts to docbook (but the
author must make this conversion). Note that the knowledge gained in
learning the rudiments of linuxdoc will be useful if one wants to
learn DocBook later on.
