Absolutely.  The early Linux books I saw in the
bookstores were all LDP documents.  For quite some
time thereafter you'd get printed copies of LDP documentation
in book form when you ordered CD sets of Linux distros.

That was then and this is now, but I believe there's still
plenty of demand for free books on Linux.
