I'm curious...  Why is it so important that a HOWTO service provide books?

I just had a look at howtoforge, and I sure wish I'd seen it a long time
ago.  Have you tried the search function?
Try typing in "raid".  It's a treasure trove of information, and there are a
lot of maintainers, too!

Just look at this, submitted a few days ago:

It's even got pretty pictures!  MUCH nicer than the limited linuxdoc format.
