I tried (half-heartedly) a week or so ago to checkout some subset of
the CVS repository, rooted at LDP/howto/docbook and encountered a
hanging CVS client. I tried again this evening and despite several
attempts, each time I try to checkout the files (or update) in this
fashion
$ cd $MY_ROOT/LDP/howto/docbook && cvs update
my cvs client eventually hangs in a read waiting for something to
come back from the other side. Last visible output is listed below:

cvs server: Updating OLSR-IPv6-HOWTO
cvs server: Updating OLSR-IPv6-HOWTO/images
cvs server: Updating PHP-Nuke-HOWTO
cvs server: Updating PHP-Nuke-HOWTO/images
Ultimately, at the moment, I'm only interested in a single directory
which I checked out singly by specifying the full path. This
seemed, however rather irksome--since it might have an effect on
others who are trying to mirror CVS directly. I'd be happy to
provide any useful information to a CVS admin. (Are you still there
Serguisz?)
